Sticking to your exercise routine

1/14/2015

With the new year's resolutions kicking in, here are some great tips to actually sticking with your exercise regime:

1) Set a realistic goal - if you intend to exercise on a daily basis, but don't make room for it in your schedule, you're likely to not meet those intentions and become frustrated.

2) Choose the proper time of day - For instance, don't plan for early morning workouts if you don't like waking up early. Choose a time that you'll enjoy and have the most energy, and try to keep the times you exercise consistent - this way it becomes habitual and you're more likely to stick to your routine.

3) Pick an exercise that you enjoy doing - If you dislike your workout, you're less likely to stick to it. If riding a stationary bike or running on a treadmill is not for you, try attending a class or a water fitness program.
