What are the phases of care?
Relief Care: During this first phase of care, the main goal is to get you out of pain. Relief care provides initial temporary alleviation of your symptoms or pain. Visits are more frequent during this time to help offer relief as quickly as possible. The majority of patients will see a significant reduction of their symptoms in this phase.
Corrective Care: Corrective care continues after phase 1 (relief care) and furthers the healing process by fixing the underlying issue that caused the pain in the first place. Muscle and other soft tissue damage often remain after your pain has decreased. Corrective care promotes more complete healing by providing long term stability, and as a result, decreases the chance of relapse.
Visit frequency is reduced in this phase.
Preventative/ Wellness Care: Once the first two phases have been completed, we recommend occasional check-ups to help preserve and maintain your progress. Follow up appointments help us to identify any new issues that may arise from your day to day activities, and reduce the chance of future flare-ups.
This type of preventative or wellness care can also save time and money by keeping minor problems from becoming more serious, and helping you stay well.
Regardless of the type of care you choose, we are here to help you achieve your goals.
