• The seat should be at least one inch wider than your hips and thighs on either side and have enough cushioning to provide support and minimize imbalance.
  
• The seat should also not be so long that it prevents you from sitting all the way back against the lumbar support and it should not touch the back of your knees.
• You should be able to adjust the height of the seat  so that your feet are flat on the ground.
• Ideally, the lumbar support should be able to be adjusted forward and back as well as up and down to properly fit your back.
