Here's another blog from a Milton chiropractor discussing: flip flops and back pain.
Warmer weather is here and with that flip flops have made their return. Even if you don't already suffer from back, knee or foot pain, they are not the best option for you.
Too keep them on your feet, you have to curl your toes and shorten your stride, putting more strain on your back and feet. Additionally, they offer no support and minimal cushioning for your feet. They can also cause further changes in your body mechanics when you walk, leading to increased stress and strain on the lower back, and eventually pain.
There are healthier alternatives to choose from this summer. Look for a sandal that offers good arch support, and has heel cups.
